So while the celica goes under the knife for the next year or two i need a ride in the mean time....

looks like i can get a 5 speed IS300 for a touch under 20K hmmmmmm........

I just got a new job so I'm pumped... it means less attention to TSR but it does mean proper bank - after all I am an EE smile.gif

what cars would you like to see in your drive for under 20K?

a 7th gen GTS runs 13's with IHE? it would need to to even tie with a LS1 F body

if you want something new(ish) and reliable, the is300 is the way to go.

A GTS w/I/H/E can easily run side by side 2003 V8 Mustang GT.

k, whats your point. mustang GTs are SLOW. the only mustangs that are decent are the mach1, bullett, new SCed cobras and the new 05 model.

A GTS w/I/H/E can easily run side by side 2003 V8 Mustang GT.

gears, intake off road H pipe, and exhaust on the mustang puts it in the 13's, pretty cheap if you go the custom route with the exhaust parts

how much does a quality header for a celica GTS cost? probably close to the cost of the H pipe and catback for the mustang. how much does IHE help the crap off the line power a celica GTS has?

you shouldn't underestimate mustang GT's just because they are setup very conservatively from the factory(6 cats, small exhaust, crappy intake, small gears)

i worked for Mustang racing technolgies for a while, and yes, when they are retuned (because factory really DEtunes them big time) they are rockets. but stock mustang GT is SLOW. however just chipping them and removing their restrictive piping and they are monsters.

Haha I saw that someone suggested a Mini Cooper S. I don't know why but I find those things so strangly cool. I'd really like to go test drive one. They look like a lot of fun, especially after watching the Italian Job. I tried to talk my sister into getting one last summer but she ended up getting a Mazda 6. Those are pretty nice cars too BTW.

used RSX-S... then Hondata flash #4... will make one of the fastest n/a FWD 4 cylinder cars you can buy under 20k. Aside from that... IS300 would be the way to go. I'd be torn between the two honestly.

Get the "Italian Job" dvd and you will get very pumped with the mini.
