Due to another request......I am now going to make some of these side tower braces. Pics are on my profile. These braces attach to the lower door hinge and up inside the fender to the frame to help stiffen up the front end a lot!
I will sell these for $110 shipped within the 48 states.
If using paypal, you must add 3%
Thanks,
DG

I put another pic up on my profile .........to show you guys where these actually go!
they are very easy to install (4 bolts) you can probably install them without removing the fender but i had to remove mine for the swap so it made it easy for me to make these and install at the same time?
you all should get the picture now!!! instructions can be included if i need to explain more how to install .......but it is simple really.

Paypal always charges me 3% for every amount of money i get sent so ???
I dont want to eat the cost on the 3% anymore biggrin.gif
thanks guys,
dg

JAbberwock ......those are yours that are pictured smile.gif
sending them out tomorow!

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

DG - I have a request for us convertible swapper wannabes. How about some custom subframe connectors to stiffen up the front cowl? I can email you some pics of what I have in mind if you are interested. I am sure they would sell like hotcakes at the right price.

Jay.

the thing with me making parts for other models of cars is that i need one to make prototype parts on. then i make the jig for the parts. then i can make as many as people want. the reason i only make the parts that i do right now is that i only have access to my car to make parts on. so..... that means that if the parts are universal across the board for the celicas ....they can work for other celi's too. so if people are willing to drive their st or convertible to me so i can make parts i would be glad to help you guys out. do you know what i am saying? so as long as i got something to go off of i can make you about anything you want!!!!!!!
but i got to have the car here for fitment testing and such.
thanks,
hope to help out biggrin.gif

From my understanding is they just stiffen up the front end even more by making it more rigid which makes your car handle even better. It should make things more responsive.

btw, i would guess that the bars you bought for $250 were sway bars and not side bars

Actually, it was the side tower braces and the price was $225 w/ shipping. I was a little off since it was 10 days ago. The point is that these parts from DG are a bargain. He should sell several at that price. Also, I will have to wait 6 weeks for mine from Japan.
