hey guys this has been running in my head for a while now.

i have a coupe with a box that holds 2 12's , you can bet i have noooooo space at all.

so i was thinking of buy a really thin piece of ply wood and making a cut out of it using the carpet inside the truck as a guide, then cut out holes for the amp and subs and cover the subs with a gate or plexy glass(havent thought this far yet)
ill be removing the spare tire of course

while this is just an idea you guys tell me what you think

im making a speakerbox over the summer.... its gonna take up my whole trunk, but after a year i realized, ive never put anything in my trunk.... its gonna hold either 4 10"s or 2 12"s..... still undecided, then 2 or 3 amps.... a 4 chan for the speakers (4 infinity kappas), then a 2 chan, or two 2 chan (if i go 4 10 route).... it'll be tight.... and prolly a cap, cuz my headlights dim already....

I need the practicality of my trunk. Amps are ok where they are, however, my 2 12" subs are currently in the parcel shelf and frankly the shelf is not up to it. So I'm thinking about making 2 sub boxes to fit at the back left and right hand sides of the trunk. Probably use a combination of plywood and fibreglass.

Good advice Cormudgen - measure several times to be absolutely sure/correct. I would add, over cut the size and trim down afterwards to get a perfect fit.

I did mine like this and it is great but the only difference is that I used all FG. I have a pic on my PROFILE

CelimanST - I've figured your picture out now!
Do you have any photos of them installed?
Weren't you gauging interest at one point with regards making these?

pxcr440 - nice setup.
Unfortunately totally impractical for me as I need the use of the trunk.

Cormudgen's setup may well be feasible for me if I add a perspex cover over the top.

Yeah I was trying to see if anyone would like one. I will get some pics up this week end. IT sits in the drivers side back corner.
