just wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else?

That doesn't happen to me...I don't know what would be causing that problem for you.

sounds like the cold start sensor isn't too happy..... if it's bad, lol, i have a 4a-fe one that works just fine.

on a 4a-fe it's located on the frontside of the intake manifold (facing you when you open the hood)... has 2 bolts holding it in....

Actually, I've been suffering the same symptoms with my car Mac. If you find a way to fix it, be sure to post about it.

same problem here

when its hot the car has trouble starting. it will turnover but want to die right away. lately on hotter days it dies as soon as i let off the gas....then after a few seconds of holding the gas it will get back to normal and have no problems.

i have the same problem - GT as well

I thought just to adjust my idle a bit up, cause on super warm days it'll have trouble staying alive after sitting for a while. It does a flux in the tach of about 200. Most i've seen it go is an idle at 650. WAY TO LOW FOR ME!
