one thing you can do is hook up a speaker that you already know is working to your amp outputs just to see if your getting anything to the speakers in the first place

Turn your Subs on - on your deck. My Pioneer deck had a function you need to enable to activate Subs.

I tryed messing with the deck but i cant find anybutton on there that turns them on.. I have the JVC KD-SH909R model if that helps. When i looked the cd player up on line it says it includes a subwoofer line out??? Not sure what that means.. Thanks again for the help. People here at 6gc.net are the best!

the stereo has rca outputs on the back, thats usually what a sub line out means. Did you hook your rca lines to them?

usally when a deck has a sub line out there is also a seperate control for the subs. if there is it could be turned all the way down witch would mute the subs

Alright I think I figured out the problem.. It has something to do with the ground wire. When i touch a screw driver against metal it grounds it and the subs work. I tryed grounding the wire then to a screw in the bottom right hand corner right above the right rear wheel but for some reason that dosnt work. If i hold screw driver against the screw and then to the side where it is metal than it works. hmmm?? If you guys have any pictures of your wriring and where u grounded your wires it would be much appreciated. Sorry if this thread keeps coming up.

did you scratch away all the paint from the spot you're grounding? that may be a problem. i grounded min in the strut tower screw. oh course my amp sits only a foot away and it's a straight shot. i'll take a pic and post it when i get home tomorrow.

Ground it to one of the bolts on your seat.

if you look between your back seats underneath the bit of seat fabric at the back, you will see three bolts going into the body. these three bolts are connected to a thing that holds the seats in place. undo one of those bolts and ground your wire right there. i am telling you, that is the best place on the car to ground it.
