Well, since the recent increase in gas (YES, AGAIN!)... I decided to do some research on Costco gas, since they are the cheapest in my town. I've read that Costco usually buys from Shell, Mobile, Texaco, etc... depending on who's CHEAPER. I've also read that their gas is guaranteed to by additive free (which isn't necessarily always a good/bad thing).
Has anyone else done any intensive research on this? I know that I would end up paying for this before I did the swap... But $28.00 on gas every week to a week in a half really isn't helping my cause... I'm gonna keep digging to see what I can find. =( This post has been edited by kuya1284: May 13, 2004 - 2:32 AM |

Sorry I don't have any definite extensive info on Costco, etc. gas. But I have plenty of friends and coworkers who use Costco gas and have no complaints or problems with their cars/SUV's.
Hear them all the time saying how much cheaper it is to buy their gas. You just have to be a member though. |

I didnt even know Costco had gas stations...or how does that work? U buy in bulk?
And $28 every week and a half? Try $35 every 4 days, SUVs blow ass. -------------------- |

haha buy in bulk? For gas? hehe That's funny.
No it's just like a normal BP, Shell, Mobile, etc. Just you can only buy gas there if you're a member. So, sign up and get cheaper gas. From what I've heard they're usually about 10 cents cheaper than what's usually out at other stations. |

If I had an SUV... I'd be complaining too. This is why I refuse to jump on the SUV bandwagon... |

So you haven't had any problems, I take it? If I still had my 7A, I wouldn't have started this thread. I just want to ensure the longetivity of my 3S. |

I normally spend about $50 a week lately(delivering pizza, 2 tanks a week). 93 just hit $2.00 this week. I remember 6 years ago it was $0.97 here.
I'm just glad I still have the 7A that gets 33+ mpg. |

That's about what I got when I first got the car. After adding the exhaust, K&N filter, better wires, and iridium plugs, it jumped to 32-34 for some odd reason. Can't really explain it(better spark causing the computer to add less fuel to the mixture is about all I can come up with), but I'm happy with it. And yours being a 94, I'd replace the fuel filter if you haven't yet. |

93 Octane just went up to $2.20/gallon last night at the gas station my friend works at. This really sucks...all i have to say is that this better be damn good gas. Makes me think that one day ill own a hybrid or something.
