personally i like the 6th gens looks, but if i had the money for the 7th gen GTS i would buy that b/c its alot faster and the looks arent AS MUCH of a factor as the difference in performance. however a GT-4 or 3SGTE swapped 6th gen would be my #1 choice... i like the 7th alot, but i cant wait to see what the 8th is going to look like, ive seen a few concepts and some of em are pretty sweet. whens it due?? 04... 05??

If you go on the Toyota website and look at their 'future concept cars' you can see the Ultimate Celica. It's a 7th gen on steriods, and I must say it looks amazing.

If I had the cash I'd get a 7 although I love our 6's. If I had a choice between maybe a GT-4 and a GTS I'd have to go with the GT-4 though, definitely. It seems like there's a lot of 7th gens on the road--I guess their finally turning heads and getting the respect they deserve.

i'd have to say that i'd stick with my 6th Gen....i can do more things with the body to make it stand out more than the 7 would. Sure it's a really sweet ride and i did think about getting it...but now that i've got my 6er..i think i'll stick with it wink.gif

Its a a difficult choice, the curved lines of the 6 gen against
the flowing curves and straight lines of a 7 gen. I've seen
the 7 gen with the full Veilside bodykit with lowered springs
and I'd have to say it looked futuristtic almost like a concept car, but that engine puts out 180bhp, not bad for a non
aspirated engine though.Would I go for it, probably if they kitted it with a turbo.

just gimme a plain white 7th gen with a veilside bodykit smile.gif

the interior of the 7th gen is pretty damn nice!

but stock the 7th gen is sucky sucky

so if its not the white 7th gen with veilside kit i'd prefer a 6th gen GT4 with a nice bodykit
doesn't really matter wich one for sixth gen i prefer invader/shogun style but there are lots of great kits out there...

Me my opinion is that we the 6gen owners have something special.Because of the numbers of 6gens out there you don`t see many so when someone does it grabs their eye. . .as someone said too many 7gens out on the streets.
On the other hand give me a 7gen gts with a veilside kit,18in rims , and lowered that would be a car i would enjoy. biggrin.gif

Seventh gens are nice, but they're everywhere, at least compared to sixth gen Celicas. There's no other car in the world I'd rather have than a sixth gen GT-4, lowered with 18s and a Varis kit, with a 3S-GTE pushing out some serious horsepower under the hood and a front mount peeking out from behind the kit. smile.gif

I chose to buy mine 99 because it was the last year before the new model. Personally I think they are pretty ugly and look like a boat from the back. I would still prefer my almost stock car over a pimped up 7th gen.

I almost did that last december. I almost traded in my Celica for a new 7th gen one. but at the last minute i changed my mind. i love my car to much to just let it go. so i'm going to save my money and get the 8th gen when she comes out.

7th Gen Celica's arent bad as far as looks are concerned I guess, and of course anything newer is going to have more charisma than an older model of damn near any car. But I know that the reason Toyota so dramatically changed the concept was because our 6th Gen's were too expensive to keep manufacturing at the price they were selling them at. The newer Celica's are made cheaper and with less precision than most of ours were, plus the buyers were starting to get into the "buy'em cheap, beef'em up" idea's we see with Civics and such. I'm going to hold on to my 6th gen for a while.

I think the 6th gen looks better than the 7th gen. It would be a tough choice to decide though because the 7th gen comes with more power out of the box. But I would lean towards the 6th gen because there are not many out there that are really hooked up.

6th's have got a lot nicer body style, the 7th's dont have enough curves, just a bunch of angles. 6th's are too nice to give up
