nope the hood wont fit just directly.
new hood needs new front bumper (gt-4 style) otherwise theres a huge gap between the hood and front new front needs new bumper support new hood latch new turn signals and i think im missing some stuff... but you get the jist of it. -------------------- Believer, you'll leave her, in leaving them all No but I don't buy it Like anything you do, as anyone you are Cause I'm... I'm pretty sure that those other parts are vents and things like that. You could just put the hood on I think...but it wouldn't look that great without the vents and stuff. Welcome to the site by the way!
Edit: Looks like K2 beat me to it. I almost forgot about the gap that you'd have without the GT-4 bumper, and I didn't know you needed a new latch and stuff like that. This post has been edited by Coomer: Feb 19, 2003 - 9:54 PM -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

I wonder if a good body shop could custom fab some sort of bulge on hte bumper so you wouldn't have to change it?

maybe you could just make a bump at the top of your bumper out of fiberglass your self, there's a how to on fiberglass mods, then maybe you could just use some 3m tape to stick it on.
just a thought --------------------

there are psudovents you can buy just about anywhere, they have a ST205 style one, of course it wouldnt be functional... but they look OK, not as good as the real thing but nothing fake ever does.

Yes, but you would still be lacking the rise in the bumper.

thats what im talking about, and yes it does look ugly in the picture, im sure you can get a good bodyshop to mold it down in, ive seen it done before and doesnt look too bad, however the real ones look MUCH MUCH better. -------------------- Believer, you'll leave her, in leaving them all No but I don't buy it Like anything you do, as anyone you are Cause I'm... I totally agree. If you don't care that your hood looks like crap then get the add-on. But i would bite the bullet and pay for the GT4 hood.

a true bodyshop would cut the hole in the hood, go from the underside out, and fiberglass the surroundings of the scoop on the top, making it not look so doublesided stickey taped on.

That's true, but to make it look like a true GT4 then you would have to get rear vents added on.

Are we talking about the same thing? I was saying get a GT-4 hood from toyota, and have a body shop mold in a rise in the Front Bumper so there isn't a gap where the hood and bumper come together.

I don't think that that scoop looks too bad once it's molded onto a car. Check this out:
Also, I've got a full-size(1280x960) photo of that car if you want to see it at a higher resolution. Just reply if you want it.

doesn't look too bad with the gap, but the curves look a little like it doesn't fit together
