Makes your airbag a touch more sensative without it is my understanding. IE; someone dents your bumper- none accident and PLOW- without the rebar to soften and take the impact, it goes straight to the airbag sensor..

you should try to modify your rebar to work with whatever kit you get.

i had to have mine cut in half to make my gt4 front fit.

that rebar acts as your bumper...so think of it as driving around with no bumper...only worse, cause that also helps strengthen the front of the car..

Body shops won't modify that bar, take it out, or anything. It's illegal to do so, for a reason.

It is the support for the front of your car. If you get in a 5-10mph accident, the bumper will be destroyed, your airbag sensors (may) go off, and you'll be wishing that you kept the support there. Modify it, but don't remove it.

Looks like you need to find a new GF! aha..j/k
Anyways, I put the ViS Invader kit on my car with only SLIGHT modification to the front bar,..Dremel is your best friend in this situation.
:-)
I drove with it off..it majorly ****s with the handling of the car.

I put on my c1 replica bumper, I was going to modify the bumper but as I was checking it out you would almost have to removed half of it anyways.

take the rebar off and put it inside your new bumper, then youll see what needs to be modified.
