Ok, I have about $300 to blow on my car. Here are my options
1. TRD Springs 2. side skirts (might not get painted though) 3. DR CAI(although, I think I'm just gonna make my own from my Weapon R tube) 4. Save the money for my rims.(although I L-O-V-E the way Einki RS-5 rims look, I'm gonna save 1500 and get Superleggeras,,, It was true love when I first saw them when I was 14. they were on a silver 97 eclipse GS. Oh how I remember....) 5. get coil overs of some kind... with stock shocks. 6. fill in the blank. No, I will not 'save' for 'real' mods. I don't see an engine swap in my cars near future. Just let me know what I should do. (I rolled $200 in coins tonight, and I have loads left over to do tomorrow.) |

300 won't buy you much in the way of mods.
you could buy springs or coilovers but you'll probably end up over budget once you factor in the install. building your own CAI is another viable option, but you said you already have a weapon-r so that seems like a bit of a waste. I think your best option would be to save for the superleggeras, every couple hundred is a good contribution to getting them someday. |

get some TRD springs, installation isnt bad, you can DIY. just need a way to compress the spring, good way to get creative. DONT get sideskirts and leave them unpainted nothing is more annoying or ricey than some1 with an unpainted bodykit.
route id recommend with 300 to blow: 1. buy TRD springs and self install 2. DIY short ram from your weapon-R tube and get a K&N filter thats as far as you could probably stretch 300 bones, maybe get some spray paint and go over your brakes and interior as well. another route: 1. strut bar 2. TRD springs both DIY installs a 3rd route: 1. get a 150 dollar head unit 2. replace your four 6 1/2" interior speakers if you already have a head unit pick up an amp. 300 bucks is also a good number to get some bodywork done, IE: if you are like me and have a rust spot or dent that is just eating away at you get that fixed! saving is the hardest thing to do but usually has the biggest payoff... its up to you! -------------------- Believer, you'll leave her, in leaving them all No but I don't buy it Like anything you do, as anyone you are Cause I'm... Get another $100 and you can score some JDM tails from Roo. Expect a 8mo. wait on them though.

you got an exhaust? i would do that first. 300 bucks would be hard to cover the greddy though...Or go with the springs.

Yea, I'm in the process of making extra parts to put on my weapon R tube to MAKE it cold air. If I got the skirts, I'd get them painted before the install.
Springs are a MAJOR thought at this point. But I SO love superleggeras. As for the tails, I have a coupe. I have a good muffler, but cat back is stock. Should I get 2-1/2" pipe from the cat back.... or lose the cat... Oh, and my audio kicks AZZ. (radio and woofers) but i did think of getting four speakers for the inside. Does TRD make plug wires? I saw them on the TRD Japan page,,,, just curious. Finally, the strut bar would be a waist right now. Zero suspension mods= no need for a SB. |

If you get a custom exhaust, you might as well throw in some headers also.

I hadn't really thought about 'a' header... On the SE-R spec V tested by SCC, they got 17Whp from it. Good point! I want a ceremic coating and not chrome.(rust...) and i can't find a cheap one. I have been reading about they guys that are going to start making them this summer though. If they make the right coating, I'll get a Dr-cai and then a header in the summer!
I've decided to get the CAI and not make my own. It'd just be too hard for Me to do. I have zero experience with that kind of thing. Get this, I have a guy to buy my Weapon R for $150. I'm really happy, after all, it cost me $180! |

Charge the person like $30 for shipping and you'll almost make ends meet.

at MRT were doing a full air system revamp on a bullett. intake, throttlebody, headers, header-muffler H-piping, and new magnaflow dual mufflers not expecting any more than 15-20 WHP...

Dude, I have seen cars make 15hp with just a header. I've seen RSX's make over 10 with just an intake. Intake header and full exhaust plus a high flow race cat would give me a fat kick.

It was a SE-R spec-V in SCC.(the most reliable magazine you can find.) I think it was a Hot shot header that made 17.something Hp at the wheels. They brought the car up to about 170 whp by the end of the section.

Yea... but it gives us an Idea. there's a shortage of people moding toyota non supras. Personaly though, I think a header would add about 5whp plus CAI maybe five more then 2.5" pipe and a Racing cat. By christmas i hope to also get a SAFC. What? maybe 15 to 20 hp at the wheels? The question though is: Do I want hp OR wheels (OZ Superleggeras) or springs of some sort.
