Yes...7 is the magic number...7 PSI on 7A-FE and then BOOM! rolleyes.gif
Hehe just kidding, that's just a rumor, brother, it holds way more than that. I boosted it to 12 with a bad piston and stock injectors running lean as hell and the other three pistons are still fine. smile.gif

i ran 15 on a bad piston ring trying to blow her up...it just wouldnt happen.. a must have for any and every 7afte is a WIDEBAND 02. no not the autometer a/f a REAL meter like a invoative wide band or maybe aem's... with that u can tune it to not lean out and your set.. make sure u use the correct oil too. pennzoil makes oil specifically for turbo and id also reccomend royal purple.. mobile 1 is recycled anymore and cost is higher than the royal.

I completely agree that a wideband O2 is key in this, but I wonder... if you used the autometer and kept it on the rtich side, wouldn't you be ok? I mean, it's not exact, but you should be able to have a safe area.

autometer is only able to work at WOT... the o2 senor sends a signal, i believe volts would be the rating... and it is always trying to keep at the 14.5 i beleive with is a "perfect" a/f mix. at idle or anyother place besides 100% throttle is it adjusting way too fast for the led's in the gauge to keep up. u really need a worth while wideband 02 to for a real reading, a datalogger would really come in handy too..

yea, the aem wideband all in one guage is what I am shooting for. It's about the cheapest, and probably the easiest to work with.
