I'm thinking about getting a new car. I'm interested in the Saab 9-3 Aero. What do you all think? I'm still going to keep the Celi though, there's no way I'd sell her...she's my baby. smile.gif
This will be my work car. I'm thinking about taking advantage of the European Delivery program they have. Where I can pick up my Saab in Sweden.

Features:

*2.0T turbocharged engine
*210 hp and 221 lb. ft. of torque
*5-speed manual gearbox
*Lowered sport-tuned chassis
*17" twin 5-spoke alloy wheels, all-season tires
* Leather-appointed sport seats
*Electrically adjustable front seats
*Memory settings for driver's seat and exterior mirrors (optional)
*Metallic-finish trim
*Dual-zone Automatic Climate Control (ACC)
*Remote opening for windows and moonroof (optional)
*Cooled glove compartment
*Saab Infotainment with 300W and 13 speakers

MSRP: $34,700 +/-

I'm thinking after my discount and all the incentives minus the $2000 cash for the European Delivery Program it'll run my total to maybe $27,000-$28,000.

for that price you might as well pony up the few extra bucks for an EVO or a STi

did u mean wrx by wrk?

well

the only saab i would ever consider would be a 9.2x aero, and even then, its a rebranded subaru WRX wagon

My friend that just got the 9-2X Aero. It's really nice. Turbo on it is amazing.

As for the Evo or Wrx, I thought of that but really wasn't too solid on it like I am with the 9-3. I guess in a way I need a "buisness" car. lol If I were to choose between the 2 I'd get the Evo though. My friend had a 2002 WRX, turboed and everything, but it was a gas guzzler. Had to fill up like every 4 days. frown.gif He had to sell it bcus he and his g/f were expecting and needed something more family oreinted. He misses it a lot!

same here mike.

well i have to say that i test drove it. btw, its a six speed not a 5-speed. not impressed at all with the torque. space in the interior was far less than adequate. also in my country it costs CYP 32,000 (thats $73.000)

i really can't understand why anybody even thinks about owning a car other than Toyota/Lexus.

your friend had a lead foot. family oriented? the back seat has hooks for two baby seats.

from my experience 21-22 mpg isnt very good.....not that Im knocking the wrx because its my top choice for a car. Maybe Im just used to the 30mpg eco cars.
