Okay, finally installed some TRD springs and KYB struts today. Wasn't planning to do the struts but one was blown (after only 47K miles on the car) so had to change them out. Well....after installation, the car barely looked lower. At first glance in fact, looked exactly the same as before! I measured the drop and it ranges from 3/8" to 5/8". TRD claims that the drop should be 1" all the way around I believe. I've read on this forum that the springs will "settle" after awhile -- how much can I expect to gain by this "settling?" I suspect part of the problem is the KYBs. I put some on another car recently ('89 Cressida) and it actually raised the rears!
So, maybe I should have gone with the Sportlines.... |

Interesting. My TRD's lowered my car 1.75" all around.

Yes springs settle anywhere from .25'' to .75'' depending on good a spring they are. The struts also need to be broken in. Measure again in 2 weeks and see if theres any difference.
