I'm having some trouble deciding on what coilovers I should get. First of all, Ground Control's site is all messed up with their application guide. It's just not complete. How much are they and what's the ride heights that you can adjust to and from? Also, I've heard various opinions about all sorts of different types of coilovers. Could somebody give their advice on a good set of coilovers and how much they cost.

Drop Zone makes coil overs for our cars. I don't know about the quality, but all I've heard are good things. They are like... $150 for coil overs.

first choice is odviously ground controls. I don't know what maximum drop is, but thats not really the purpose, these are serious coilovers. they are usually in the ~375 dollar price range.

second is the drop zones. the springs aren't as good as the ground controls, but you get what you pay for. for 120 they aren't bad at all.

last, and by far least is the ebay coilovers. they are horrible, don't anyone buy them. Coomer had them for a while and the perches wouldn't lock so they kept slipping. very very bad.

I had ground controls on my car. If you look at my pics I had the front all the way down but I didnt grind off the original spring mounting cup which wouldve dropped it more. I had it with stock struts at first and it was a decent ride considering I had almost no suspension travel. I had trimmed bumpstops and never hit them unless I hit a large hole or bump. I have had dropzone coilovers on my ford probe and they worked really well. What you want to look for it the spring rate on the coilovers. My dropzones were the same as the ground controls for the probe at least.
hope that helps
matt
