I have a Honda Civic at the moment and Ive had it since I was 16 years old. Im 20 right now and think its time to move on to a car that isnt so popular. I know a lot of you wont like my car but its my pride and joy and something I have spent many hours with my father working on. Ive been a member on the site for a few days and spent my time just looking around and its nice to see some people with knowledge. A lot of your cars seem very tasteful - something u dont find in the honda world very often. So any input you guys might have on my search for a Celica would be greatly appreciated.

Well I don't think your Civic is anything bad. Not digging the wing, the rims seem small, it is four doors...it's all one color at least;)
Best of luck with your search! Have you driven a sixth gen? -------------------- |

you'll be amazed with the difference of the handling between the 6th gen and your civic. (your civic has it's own taste, good stuff) Welcome

I too was a proud civic owner. Then I switched to a celica. Now I have a celica for the summer and a civic for the winter. Welcome to the club.

mom has an 03 civic that I despise but that is because you sit too high up/ auto/ and it has no power. I doubt yours is any of those though and I do dig that color on it.

Welcome to the site. The only draw back i think you'll get from going froma civic to a celica, is the celica has very limited aftermarket suport. Which also means some things will cost more. but look so much better. This post has been edited by Digndoug: Jan 23, 2005 - 11:43 AM |

my boyfriend has a d16y8 (stock ex motor) with a $5000 edelbrock turbo kit on it.. it's a great looking car, and he's spent about $20,000 into mods, performance and exterior/interior/sound... to me, it doesn't matter what car you drive, it's the passion! if you like doing up cars, have respect for others that have the same interest even if you don't like the car! personally i was wanting a civic for a long time, and i was gonna get one, but then i found the celica and got that instead, honda's make AMAZING vehicles, just as good as toyota, but it's all preference

Before i had my Celica, I was looking to buy a 99-00 civic EX/SI. Now that I got my celica I really want the civic instead of the celica.
I'm not into bodykits, fenders, or all those fancy/ricy things. Just going JDM all around. Some civics look so nice with just a JDM lip, dropped, and some really nice rims. Plus keeping it OEM just looks so clean. I'm also a member at honda-tech. And that is the most ANti-rice forum. Maybe you heard of it. |

ehh. i dont mind civics. just most of their drivers. and i hate integra drivers. but lude's and accord guys are nice. as for your cars most of the civics around la look like well elts jsut put it this way if you have a teal civic with chrome wheels and half the tint peeling off yrou windows dont try and race me.... please. anyway all that aside your car is very clean.. looks like you love her/him. diggin the hood and the projectors. i had a nice civic on my team back home. i like them for what they are. as for handling celica will always rock it. ehh if i were you, id test a 6th gen keep the civic. have fun with life. who knowsyou might wind up sellin the civic later, and doin a nice 3s swap.

If you give me the details on your car, and if you still have the stock bumps, sideskirts, ect, I might like to trade you. Same thing goes for the Prelude. Don't get me wrong, I love my Celica. I just want something I can turn into a real rocket.

I'm just as new as you and look for a 6g but hey welcome. I was at first looking into a 90-93 Celica All-Trac Turbo but I figure it much be better performance to get a 6g and swap it with a 3sgte All-Trac motor. Good choice on picking celica. I my self was looking into Hondas but I hate it when in your local area you see too many of them around. I want a car that's not so common to see.

If you're looking for something cool, you might check out the 240SX. RWD, a little more power than the celica, and still a unique car. Not as pretty looking (outside or inside) but they've got a pretty big following, too.

naw 240's are not all that. and to me they are not unique cause I see like 7 or 8 a day. now our cars I can go for months without seening one that is what I call unique, but don't listen to me I also still have much to learn about cars I just think that the Toyota celica is a good car.
(p.s) good luck man on finding a 6 gen and trust me you will like it I had a 94 integra before the celica and it was fast but something about the celica just amkes it so much better. oh and one more p.s me am drunk so sorry if I typed something worng |
