What alarm did everyone get? I just got a whole new soundsystem and I get a feeling I should get a new alarm to go with it. Im looking for one with a pager so I know when someones tryna steal my system, so what is everyone using? Whats the range on the pager good or bad, I want something around school or campus when I go to college I can still get the beep. Thanks guys!

Depending the money you have, you can get a lot of ones. I curently have the clifford matrix rs-3. It has the remote start(still need to hook up two wires, but need the wiring guid) unlock, lokc and alamr, with pager. The pager shows everything its doing. And The rang ei would say is the best out there. The brain im using is two years old. I pulled it out of my bimmer when i wrecked it, but the remote was busted bad, and didnt like to work. So I had to spend another $100 to get another new remote. I love it. As of now where i have class and where i park my car maybe 1/2 mile, I can unlock and remote start and the pager is still active. It gets iffy past that, which most all will. my guess is the latist one out will be a lil better range. But this wil cost you a nice pocket of cash.

The new cliffords are the most advanced alarms out there. Especially the ones with the remote fuel cut off(no wires for a thief to follow).

I got the Clifford G5. Though it doesn't have intellistart which is a $200 addon, I think. Most the dealers out here in AZ don't carry their stuff or install it anymore.

Someone actually told me Viper bought out Clifford and they aren't making any new models. Not sure if thats true, but whatever.

yes, and Clifford still makes the G series which you have
the Directed is in charge of the Matrix series, which is the one w/ the remote-fuel cut...really good alarm, but i do think im leaning towards the G5 w/ BlackJak

I have Clifford, not sure which kind, but clifford. It has good range, its fun to mess with people in parking lots. I could be in the store of something and an old lady will walk past my car, so I set the alarm off on her. It shouldn't be that funny, but I get a kick out of it every time.

that lo-jack system is crazy. but somebody told me that not all police departments have the lo-jack equipment.

when i get my 3s, i am going to look into lo-jack.

i'd get a DEI system no matter what. a lot of the parts are interchangable so if you ever want to add on something from another alarm it may work. also i THINK lo-jack is just a copywritten name, there's many alarms that have equivalents, and some of the remote start alarms will even shut off the car if it's being driven w/o you in it
