First sorry that is has taken so long to do. I have taken the pics on my other ST that does not have the ST sway bars. My fiance has the celica with them. Anyway, as you can see from the pics in my profile, the area where you need to bang is higlighted in red. Pretty much where the bar starts to bend. I'd say about a 3 inches long by 3 inches wide, just to be on the safe side.

Jeremy

Also here at imagestation:
Sway Bar area to hammer

If neither of those work, let me know and I will email them to you.

I hope that this helps all you out

Thanks Jeremy. Thats exactly where mine rub as well - except on both sides. Mine were severely bent up on both sides from the bar rubbing. I tried to hammer it out more with no real success. I am going to try some other things in the coming days. I will keep everyone posted.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

i didn't hammer persay. I had to use a pry bar underneath my Susp Sway bar to bend it. I then used a lot of Marine Lithium grease to lube up everything.

If you are getting some squeaking, it could be be hte bushings if they are not lubed. I had to remove mine and relube them to stop.

Did you bend the bar? I haven't tried that yet. I thought you meant you hammered the undercarriage.

No, I didn't try benidn hte bar. I think that would be really really hard. The undercarriage bent rather easily for me, but that could be from the 1 inch hole I accidentally put in it. I don't think that was the reason b/c it was bending well before the hole.

Super, the pics are in my profile too.

This weekend, I will try to get pics of my car and what it looks like under there.
