There are a number of knowledgable people on this board regarding the issue. However, no one here is going to claim they know the "most". If you want those kind of experts, you are going to have to call them. Here is a partial list:

Jamasco, Hollywood Florida
El Prototypes, California
AutoLab, Kentucky
ATS racing, Texas
Chicoraceworks, N. California
XAT racing, Tampa Florida
Chris Dittrick, Canada
Brian Moore, Virginia
Hux Racing, Jacksonville, FL
Speed-source, Champaign Illinois
CJ Motorsport, Chicago area
KO Racing, Oregon
Fensport, England
MR Controls, California
Integrity Auto, Pasadena, CA
MR2 Warehouse, Souderton, PA

Hope that helps.

Jay.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

why dont u just ask a specific question in your post?

but befre you do, type in "3sgte swap" into google. there is tons of info out there. lately ive been getting 1-2 PMs a day about the swap. so it gets kind of old when people ask the same stuff over and over.

Autolab Website

Looks like they are redoing their website but the contact info is there. This place would definitely be in my top 5 of the places I would look to. In fact, had I known about them before my swap, there is no way I would have went all the way to Florida.

Bryan "no shoes" Moore is a long time MR2 enthuisiast who is probably one of the best 3sgte tuners in the nation. He has also done a ton of N/A ---> Turbo swaps in the MR2 including wiring and has very good rates. You will have to ask him if he can do the motor mounts for the ST and the MR2T tranny conversion but I suspect he could. He also has an excellent reputation.

Here is a brief post he recently made on the MR2 site:

I've been working on MR2s since '96 and was one of the first in the country to do the NA->Turbo engine swap in '98.

I charge $1300 for a 2nd gen swap, and $1500 for a 3rd gen swap. The customer provides all parts and fluids. That price does include labor for:

1) cleaning, wire brushing of all aluminum, valve cover gasket, timing belt, and clutch replacement on the motor.
2) IN TANK fuel pump swap (ie: Walbro GSS-341)
3) All wiring changes, which are done by pin swaps or soldering.
4) Customer support for the life of the car.

Many people on the board do not realize I do mechanical work as well as the EMS tuning, so I wanted to put this out there.

Here is his website:

Hey, I'm going to google search ATS racing in Texas. But is there something that you know that I don't? For example, any personal knowledge of the mechanic/s?

ATS Racing webpage

One of the biggest venders of aftermarket parts for the 3sgte and celica (alltrac) experts to boot! I don't know for sure but I bet they have probably done the swap many times in a FF celica. They do a lot of custom fabrication and are well respected by MR2 owners.

Anything is possible with enough money. Twin turbo would have a more limited usefulness in a 2.0 liter than it would in an engine with larger displacement though.

pointless cause the t3/4 lag isnt bad enough that you need another turbo to help spool up the turbo and get the motor revving.

this twin turbo topic has been covered multiple times, just search for it and you will get a much better answer.
