Hey, I'm thinking of getting blue neons. Interior and UnderCar. I was hoping someone who has done this can help me out and tell me what measurements they have for the undercar and interior neons. I was looking to get the four neons for under the car. and one for the driver side underdash and one for the passenger underdash. also, on to go under the driver and passenger seat to light up the backseats area. Some measurements in inches would be great! Lol. Thanks a lot guys!

I would sugest not getting them. IMO I think there kinda gay and like f&f . I also knew a guy that had them under his car and he prolly had one break every month from rock chips and that gets expensive. I would only say get them, if your car is a show car.

Well they come in kits. Mine are Street Glow Gold Series from Cardomain.com. I've had them for a long time, no breaks, no chips, still working great. I've even hit a bunch of holes. The only problem is that the underbody of the Celica doesn't really have places to hide the tubes. As a rule of neons, if you have them, you don't want the tubes showing, all you want is the light. I made some flaps though to hide the tubes. For my interior neons, I use OPTX tubes from Meijers. You could try using the Redline neons as well, as shid will point out. Also, the undercar neons are 52 inches and 36 inches.

i have 15 inch neons under my dash. they fit, but i would recomend 12 inch. also it is a must that you get neon tubes that are as thin as possible, otherwise you can see the bulb from the backseat/outside of the car.

This coming from the kid who wants to put S15 headlights on his car. I think I read something about you wanting some other dumb conversions, probably something to do w/ a supra.

Neons are viewed as tacky by many expirenced car enthusist and racers. Real enthusatis who are against stickers and graphics and neons. You have to realize, you will be looked down on by the "big dogs" for this. But if you're trying to impress the parking lot ricers, you're aiming correctly. Also, it's been my expirence, girls think they're tacky....well all the girls out of high school at least.

A clean looking car w/o an ugly bodykit like mine or kwanza or ghostdog's will usually generate more respect. You can make the body look cool and be respected w/o the same invader kit everyone has. I've noticed your more "out of HS" girls, like cleaner cars more. It's a sign of maturity that you have class and don't want to follow the teeny booper trend.

Now don't get me wrong on all this. You should do whatever you want. Cause it's your car, your money, and your happiness. But I'll tell you this, cars w/ rice get keyed. A lot. Escailly if you park on a college campus. Guys get drunk, walk thro the lot on the way to their room, and bam. I know a guy who ripped an aftermarket wing off a crx when he was drunk. Course that guy's a domestic guy and you know how they can be.

Just some things to think about. Sorry I'm bored, the supra forum's server was overloaded again

now now lets not get carried away, I still have that huge parkbench sitting on my trunk wink.gif

but JoKeRkId613, a word of advice. if you like how the neons look I see nothing wrong with getting some. however be sure you are doing it because you like it, not because its a shallow fad. otherwise I guarantee you will get tired of it and it'll just end up being money down the drain. my 2 cents

yea... i have alot of neons in my car but i got bored of it and i'm gonna remove all of it....started to think that it makes the dash all messy and there's wires here and there... probably just relocate 2 to my trunk cause the trunk lights are not working.. but other than that...i'm removing them. i wouldn't recommend getting it.. if you really want it. i'll sell mine to you??? as least you'll save some money on that. i need to clear them out for the AVC-R and S-AFC anyway. biggrin.gif

I agree, get them only if YOU like them, I do if you dont like that, screw yourself. Streetglow gold series are the best, I only broke one because someone through a box out the window and it got caught under the car on the neon, good luck hiding the bulbs though!

i hid the bulbs completely, i like mine, i know a lot of people dont like neons, but im not trying to impress anyone. i used the black plastic flaps that came with the bulbs, cut em up, double sided tape to the car, bam, hidden neons...haha
