engine swap?, got a few questions Options

Im thinking of doing an engine swap, a 3sge over a 3sfe, but would first like to konw if i could just switch the heads on the engines, and if it would work......or would it be easier to just swap the whole engine.

its all hard work, no way around it. swaping heads is only something you should try if you know what you are doing and have done something like that before.

a stock 3s-ge would give much more more then just swaping heads. Iv read a few places swaping to a ge head will only give around 10%. Thats a lot, but more worth while just swaping the whole engine. But as lagos said, its goign to be a LOT of work.

nice to see somebody else from alabama on the forums! If you are talking about swaping the 3sf in the curren, that is really cool. I'd love to see it if you wouldn't mind. Also, for any and all 3s clips and such, www.jarcoinc.com/inventory= the only way to go. Everybody I know that has delt with them... lovest them.

yall i have a 7afe and i want to swap to a 3sgte...i dont wanna go through the pain of using the mr2 tranny...is it ok to just buy a gt tranny from carparts and gt axles and drivetrain supports + shift linkages and then get the 3sgte engine itself without a tranny...i found a 3rd gen without tranny, harness, intercooler but everything else for 1200 with 20k miles...i could get a 3rd gen intercooler and harness
