sometimes when i turn my car on and leave it to warm up a little i hear a little "creeking" sound that seems to churn over and over until i actually press the throttle a little.

it almost sounds like the belt turning and turning, only the sound it makes is more like a squeeky door?

it doesnt matter if its cold or hot outside it still does it.

anybody had this problem before? or know what it is?

Can you determine where the noise is coming from on the engine? I know that this sounds a little obscure. On my old 90 GTS, it had a 5SFE, and the waterpump went-out on it. But before it went-out, it was making a noise like the one you described.

I was told by a Toyota mechanic , that this is one of the tell-tale signs that your waterpump is about to go out. You usally have around a hundred miles before it craps-out. When the bearings start to wear-out around the lever, it'll start to make the noise. One of the benefits of having a mechanical than an electrical one I guess. wink.gif
