i saw one on there and its adjustable and they say i can turn it off if i want and that it never goes beyond my engines parameters so it wont damage it. This may have been covered before but i havnt seen anything. whats the deal with this?

a link would be cool.. but im almost positive ur talking about that boxy with a dail and switch on it.
If so then i believe all it is a variable resistor which hooks up and works like the other resistors. They bypass the air temp sensor and trick the ecu into thinking that the engine is getting colder air than it actually is and thus adujust the fuel flow. From what i have read and been told they arent that great of a thing. This post has been edited by urbandork: Apr 20, 2005 - 1:08 AM |

I don't have one but from what I heard is not worth it, that thing makes the ecu think its getting the colder air but its not so it won't do nothing for the engine, you might star running rich that about it, not worth it
