Waterpumps attach to the block... so they should interchange just fine even if they are slightly different.

What about the fact that the 205 is water cooled and the 185 is not ? I think this would make a difference, no ? The engine cooling system is mostly separate from that... -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"

are you sure cause if you look at the BGB of the coolant flow it shows that the st205 shares the water pump for the rad and intercooler.

my guess is that the pump is the same. i dont think the st205 intercooler uses coolant from the motors supply. it has its own heat exchanger, pump and its own coolant supply. so buying an st185 waterpump would work fine for your setup.

I guess I'm getting confused because I see the red hoses in the last pic.
So the only thing to worry about is the intercooler water pump? as far as availablity. -------------------- I will return one day. |

If you look at that diagram... the waterpump does not attach to anything aside from the pump housing. The pump housing is where the inlet, therostat, and various coolant lines are attached to. Let me also clearify, there are two parts to a complete waterpump. The housing, and the pump itself. When you buy a waterpump, usually you'll only buy the pump and the housing is re-used. I'm pretty certain the waterpumps themselves are interchangeable... but there may be differences in the pump housings...
