i just got 2 megan gt mufflers in the mail, and they look pretty good. the only problem is, i could just about fit my head in the muffler. they have 4.5" tips, and they look a lot bigger than i was expecting. does anyone have a muffler with a 4.5" tip on the end. i just wanna see a good picture from behind, because im afraid its gonna look real ricey. They look pretty sweet, so i dont really want to return them, so hopefully someone has a pic that looks good. thanks

I dont have 4.5 mufflers..but as long as it looks good, and it doesnt make a farting noise..then its good..What matters is you like it, and it sounds and looks good..post some pics..

You might want to get you a rear lip with a noch in it, and maybe tuck that thing up under your bumper a little more. It's hard to get a muffler like that to look good with no dips in the bumber.
EDIT: Oops. I didn't realize that wasn't the posters car. My advice still stands. Glad to hear you got a 3.5" now playr158. This post has been edited by Bigmeanbulldog55: Apr 28, 2005 - 7:53 PM -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy

I'm still curious to know what this farty sound is. Any sound through the exhaust would be just from the engine. I supose if it run ruff it could sound like a fart. But even if you were just using a glass pack, it wouldn't sound bad if you had a good running engine. Right?

I dont like it... I have a 3.5 and I think thats too big. There is no advantage housepowerwise to having a muffler tip that is any bigger than your exhaust piping (which for stock I believe is 1.75).

the "fart" noise is refered to as a tone of your exhaust
just go listen to a honda go racing up the street with an exhaust thats a "fart can exhaust" |
