Alpine/Pioneer, which one?!? Options

i need to get a new deck. my car is red with all black leather interior. i was lookin at the alpine CDA-9851 for about $220 and the pioneer DEH-P7700M for around $190. what can u tell me about either of these decks. also, would the silver face w/ blue glow look wrong on my car? please respond asap

both cd players are great... id personally go with the Alpine, but i am biased towards Alpine.... anyway either would be a good choice........ buuuuut.... go Alpine

oh no doubt, if you go Pioneer, get the Premier series.... excellent HU's.... you wont go wrong with Pioneer Premier or Alpine... you can look at Clarion Pro Audio and Eclipse HU's also..

i have an alpine CDA-9827, had it in my old '96 integra, wrecked the integra, and pulled the HU form it. the HU still worked awesome, no defencts cosmetic or mechanical. i also, am alpine biased, but i have had NO problems with my HU at all, and no, blue and silver wont look bad, my car is red ext/black int and the silver/blue looks just fine. alpine has great sound to it, sleek looks and very reliable...just my advice =)

Pioneer are pretty good, reliable cd players. Most teens and younger adults find them fine for the fairly low price you pay. But if you are asking between Alpine and pioneer as long as you can get the money Alpine is the best choice all of the way. The Alpine cd players have amazing clarity so that no matter what you are listening to it's the best sound quality. Alpines come with a Bass Engine that is special only to Alpine and so if you pic up maybe some Type R subs from Alpine you'll recieve a crazy hit from them. Pioneer is a good company but they can barely hold a candle to the quality and power behind an Alpine Unit.

1) theres little diffrenece b/t pioneer and premier series....
2) Alpine is a great HU, but its all hype.....IMO pioneer looks better...
3)but i think the aline will give you 4v preouts while that model pioneer will give you 2v. so if u want subs and sh!t in the future go with the alpine or a higher end pioneer

that Pioneer HU is not a premier, but it will do fine.. i was lookin at the price of that HU.. it averages around $200 or so.. for that you can look into the Alpine 9830
