This is my first post here so i though i should say hello before i start harassing you all with stupid noob questions (your gonna hear alot of em coming from me im afraid)
So after driving a Celica GTI 5th gen for about a year, having all kinds of problems with it (a cheap but troublesome buy) ive decided to loan some more money from the bank, sell my current car and then get myself a car in better condition. Ive decided to go for a 6th gen this time. So i havent got a one yet, but ill get the loan done this week and will buy a 6th gen as soon as a good deal appears! But for now, ill just say hi! -------------------- "It's sickening to see dreams die"

Yeah, just make sure you do some research on the different types of engines that the celica has.

It seems like the 2.0 and 1.8 is the most common ones here in sweden, and my mind is fixed on the 2.0, dont want less power then my last car Or where you referring to something else that i dont know about? -------------------- "It's sickening to see dreams die"

In that case, try to get yourself a GT-FOUR (turbo), or the next best, a BEAMS SS-III (best of the NA 6gcs). Power aplenty. (Well, compared to what the US and some other countries got stock.) Out of curiosity, what was your last car?

CoSo
I first planned on getting a 5th gen gt4 but economic reasons made me change my mind. A gt4 is very expensive insurance where i live, especially for a 21 years old guy And i guess a gt4 would drink alot of fuel during -30 degrees celcius in the winter aswell (or am i wrong?) My last car was a celica gti 91 with a 2 liter engine. 156 hp stock. ChessyLobster I dont know engine codes or serials so im not sure what to say. But the car im going to buy is gonna have a 2 liters engine and 175 hp stock. What engine code may that be? -------------------- "It's sickening to see dreams die"

Sounds like a 3S-GE (chassis code ST202)
US and some international countries got the 5S-FE (ST204) and 7A-FE (AT200) but not the ST202. The ST205 is the GT-FOUR. -------------------- |

it will be easier for you to find a GT-FOUR, they weren't available to the US. Try to pick one up if you can, the japanese version produces 251 HP.
sweden is right hand drive, correct? -------------------- |

Yes, sweden have right side traffic Even though id adore to have a GT4, and the wonderful feeling of a turbo, ive more or less allready decided on a 2.0 GTI...The 6th gens ive looked at have 175 hp stock, and i would guess chipping it would get it over 200 hp which is more then enough for me I wont be racing or anything like that. -------------------- "It's sickening to see dreams die"
