Just fitted mine. Has to be about the easiest job possible on a 205 30mins from jacking the car up to putting it back down on the floor. Even had time to take a couple of pics and hunt around for that illusive 14mm spanner
Yet to test drive the car..... Gary -------------------- 1994 ST205 Celica GT-FOUR Group A WRC - running in new engine 1993 Rover 220 GTi tarmac rally car (under construction) 3SGE power here we come.... GT-Four spec list |

Never actually measured the thickesses - will try and do so over the weekend. New one does seem considerably 'beefier' and even a quick trip in town to the supermarket realises a marked improvement. I'd imagine they're simliar to the ST sway bars which are considerably stronger. I noticed a difference with my rear installed only.

QUOTE(macavely @ Jun 3, 2005 - 5:57 AM) no here is the questions of the day does it fit th st204 Depends on how the bar routes... gotta remember with the ST205 rear-end, there is a diff, axles, subframe, exhaust, fuel tank, and whatnot. Placement is quite different between the two chassis, but you never know... cause the FF version has less stuff back there... -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"

How do you know? I called JC Whitney (parts magazine) and asked for the price, but they told me that they couldn't because Suspension Techniques no longer makes them.

I know because I was responsible for getting the front sway bar for our car redesigned. This happened earlier this year. I have the redesigned bar on my car now and it is GREAT! At the time, the Suspension Techniques' representative (his name is Roel Garza) told me that the new bars would not be available for a few weeks while they were being manufactured. -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |

It *is* significantly thicker, and even on 'softest' setting appears to have markedly improved turn in.

Really that's great, do you have an estimate on when they will be finish with them? JC Whitney probably stop selling the old ones so that's maybe why the representative told me that Suspension Techniques stop making them.

Its very thick and does not rub off easily. -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |
