hey, im thinking about getting a new paintjob but i have some minor dents along soe panels of the car and a minor bend in the front right fender...is it cheaper to have paintless dent removal done first and then have the car repainted or have someone fix the dents by sanding and drilling etc and then have the paintshop just repaint the whole car? insurance isnt covering this either

It's all about getting good quotes, though typically the paint/body shop will give you a deal on the dent repair if they get the paint job as well.

My suggestion would be to ask for a paint job quote, then ask how much more it'd be to fix the dents while they're at it. Then compare the additional cost to what dent repair shops are asking.

Also, there are dent repair kits you can buy for minor dents and dings, so you might consider that. If it's a minor ding, dry ice applied to the centre of the ding can often cause the metal to contract back to the original shape.
