Ok in the past i emailed this guy on ebay about his car...its a 3rd gen engine and all trac tranny in an st...i figured theres no way to use the alltrac tranny so i questioned him about it and he said the he used a steel plate to plate off the rear wheel drive on the tranny only allowing fwd and that all it needed to be driveable was some wiring...is this possible to plate off the tranny it doesnt sound like it to me seems like you would be loosing power

the awd tranny can be put into fwd mode, but it is only to be used for dyno or emissions testing machines. toyota states that you should never drive the car like that. its basically a problem waiting to happen

Its funny how he upgrade the turbo to a ct26 when isn't that the stock 2nd gen turbo and the ct20b which comes on the 3rd gen is supposed to be better with holding boost?

LOL, yea when I emailed him about the car he said he had a cut wiring harness and I could get one for like $50. And I could get someone to do the wiring for $100. |

LOL, the rotational mass alone from the AWD would make it useless for FWD, get the motor sell the tranny and get the MR2 tranny. Then again from the sounds of it the guy doesn't know jack.
As for the turbo "upgrade" 26 is better than 20 duh, just like T25 is better than T3, j/k. |

HEY GUESS WHAT?!?! if you got any questions I have the answers to this car, its now sitting in my driveway. The guy doesnt know ****, the turbo is stock and leaks oil (i took the cooler off and was able to wipe oil from my TB) anyways, ****ty welds on the motor mounts and the tranny is being replaced for a GT tranny ASAP this is a temp fix because i will be pulling the motor back out in 4-5 months for JE pistons and pauter rods... THEN i will deal with the mr2 tranny with LSD. so anyways heres what im stuck on... I need a radiator, complete wire harness for this car, the GT tranny, clutch for that tranny ( the supposed TRD installed will not fit the different tranny) and the hydraulic and throttle cable lines. Anyone know of extras of these items ill buy em just PM me. Thanks, oh and if u want pics just ask... its quite gruesome. -------------------- 94' ST Coupe - 5sfe Motor swap and brake swap.

ok so update on my car, im purchasing a GT tranny from eazy2001x and im having DG performance do my harness. I have an Apexi turbo timer but i didnt get the harness because i dont know if there is one for my car. (94' ST) anyone know how i should install this? also I have the st radiator and im thinking of just getting hard tubing and a couple 90 degrees and using that for now. now for the fun part... I also need a map sensor or can i get around this without going full standalone just yet? also can anyone get me estimates of the cost for their custom exhaust on their 3s swap? Thanks.
