Here is the pinout of the '92 Celica Alltrac (USDM). The bottom of the image is a copy of the top with the differences in the JDM ECU that I have. I am trying to locate the "FC" (fuel cut) wire. Anyone have any suggestions?
Could it be the violet, yellow-green, or red-yellow wire? -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |

I guess that would have been good to add. I'm swapping the 3SGTE into an ST, and I just need to wire the "FC" from the ECU to the "FC" on the C/OPN relay.

look up fuel cut defenders... the map sensor is what makes you fuel cut, trick it with a check valve...that is why i dont have fule cut now forget about wiring it for a fcd unless you buy or make one dg -------------------- |

No you're thinking the high boost fuel cut, this is the fuel cut wire that goes to the c/opn relay (that shuts down the fuel pump when the car isn't running).

if you wire it to where i told you, you should be just fine..... because the first 2 plugs of the ecu shouldnt need to be modified at all
i still didnt doubble check my books, but if its the green wire, pin4 on the COR, then just just wire it to the male IG2 plug pin5. then the female end of that plug will route it to whatever pin on the ecu it eventually ends up going to -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

well now that i know what you are talking about..... you know there are 2 relays in that setup right! the 3s uses FPR relay because of low and high throttle boost.... half pump on low throttle and full pump on full throttle boost!
COR "Control opening relay" and the FPR "fuel pump relay" #6 pin fuel control on plug E8A goes to #3 on "fuel pump relay" (fpr) it is a green wire with red stripe then ... COR #4 goes to IG2 #5 solid green dg This post has been edited by DG_Performance: Aug 4, 2005 - 9:09 PM -------------------- |

All the relays are wired correctly except I can't find the FC wire on the ECU. The IG2 plug is gone. I need to know where ON THE ECU the wire is so that I can wire it directly to the c/opn relay.
While testing out the system this week, I found that despite the fact that the FC wire is not hooked up, the fuel pump does indeed shut off when the engine is not running, just like it should... Here's a simpler way to ask the question. On the GT4, which has the "IG2" plug, where does the wire go from the IG2 plug TO the ECU? Where on the ECU is it?

it should be on the 3rd ecu plug...... bottom row, 3rd wire from the right.
take a look in the BGBs on celicatech. thats where i looked this up from. http://www.celicatech.com/93rmsour/1993/93...fi/electron.pdf -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

That's pin 14 on the diagram that I posted in my first post. There is no wire or pin in that spot

Ahaahahaha I figured it out.
So, when we got the engine set, it didn't have the third ECU plug. So we called them up, and they said okay no problem, we'll send it right out. Well. They did indeed send a third ECU plug, but it was from the '90 version of the 3SGTE. And guess what wire isn't on that third plug? You got it, FC. Once I figured this it out, I unpinned a wire from another ECU plug off a 7AFE and popped it right in there and it should be all set to go! -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |

Meh, I've done a bunch of swaps without clips, it saves a lot of money and it's isn't any more work when you consider that you have to pull the engine and eveything out of the clip!!! -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |

lago is just trying to say you have less to worry about with a clip... not that it is any easier... you are just assured you have everything and should not have trouble like you happen to run into that all.
ps thanks for the recomendation dr tweak! dg -------------------- |

(and sometimes even 1/2 clips are pretty stripped ) There are some situations where you MUST get a clip though. What recomendation? -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |
