Trouble with my Rear Disc Conversion Options

My rear disc brake conversion is quickly turning into a nightmare. I got the backplate and e-brake components and e-brake cables bolted up and slid the rotors on, only to discover that once I bolt the caliper on it hits the rotor.

When I looked at the back of the rotor, it looks as if the rotor should sit further back, because there's a groove on the rotor where it looks like the backplate should be.

Am I correct that the rotor should slide back further than it is in those pictures?

I ask because the part with the wheel studs stops the rotor from moving back any further. I'm using the stock part(hub I think it may be called), and the backplate, e-brake components, e-brake, cables, rotors, and calipers are from a 5th gen.

stupid question but you made sure you bought a rear disc for the 5th gen?

Also maybe the e-brake inside is opening up or is doing somthing to stop it from going on. Id say pull it off an start over see if anything changes.. norm works for me.

Yeah, I got the rear discs from a fifth gen. from Nopi. I double checked the part numbers with BuyBrakes.com and they're correct.

that looks like its back as far as it should be, maybe it could slide back a little bit farther but not all the way. there is a gap from the back plate to the roter I remember being able to fit a big flat head in there preatty easy (dont ask why I needed to shove a flat head back there)

anyway it looks to be in fully, is there a problem with is or are you just thinking it might not be right, when I put mine one I put 2 lugs on to make shure it was in place then dropped the calaper over it and gave it a spin, if everything is working and spaced good then I dont beleve you'll have any problems. the calaper should slide back and fourth so what do you mean hit the rotor? when it comes down it hits the top before it even goes over? is that with or without the pads in, or does the calipar frame by the top bult hole hit. The rotor should slide back all the way to the plate (not the back plate but the plate where the lug bults are at) look throw the extra 2 small holes on the frunt, if you look at an angle the inside of the rotor should go all the way in so that it hits the plate. I hope plate is the right word.

If it would help I'll go take my rear tire off and get some pics of how mine is set.

side note: you might wana check the part numbers on 6th gen rear diskes because those look to be the exact same as mine. (sept mine have holes)
