basicly, the ssqv is one of the best ones, because you can recirculate it back to intake, so that the AFM dont get screwed up, and make you run rich between shifts.
with celica clips with a top mount, they dont even have a bov. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

I would say its basically preference. I have an SSQV as well, and its freaking loud, but it does open fast and never has leaked on me.

The old TypeS was better, the new one has the same problems as Apexi bov's - it hacks sometimes.... Got this info from people who are directly importin Greddy products and installing them on all different cars...
I got my self Greddy TypeS....... QUOTE(nik @ Aug 27, 2005 - 7:47 PM) the new greddy RS is good and also has the recirculating ficture -------------------- Ex celica owner - just a guy from other side of the pond...

I have heard that you dont hear it as much or not at all. So the HKS might be the best if you want kinda hear it. So far im ahppy with my Blitz BOV. I have my motor running right, so the it sounds great. David |

The best functional BOV IMO is SSQV, its like the stock BPV on MR2s so it cant leak via too much pressure.
Also, the recirc will quiet down the BOV a great deal. -------------------- |

When you have recirc hooked up, you wont hear it as much, however, if you want the sound, you can use a piece of hardline.. DSM guys say you get pretty decent sound with it.

i would suggest to check on www.alltrac.net
they have more experience with the 3S-GTE than anyone here (except for a select few that contribute to each site). |

I run the Blitz Super Sound or the HKS SSQV depending on which sound Im after, the Blitz gives a nice whoosh which is nice when out cruising and the HKS gives the chirp sound when really standing on the gas.
If you recirc (for the guys with air flow meters) if you have an induction kit, you will still get an audible dump, but for people with map sensors (and use non recirculating) the sound is nice and loud and scares people, oh yes -------------------- 1994 JDM GT4 WRC

the problem is, on an afm car, the ecu still thinks the air will end up in the engine, so it injects more fuel, but since the air blew out, you run ritch and bog down. this really ends up hurting your throttle response. most people dont know what they are missing by doing a recirc, because they never tried it. also, i think its less of an isse for somone running a water to air top mount, then it is for someone with a fmic, because there is less volume of air to vent out of the ic. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

if your worried about sound then dont get an SSQV but if you want good recirc then get one. And i agree with doggy, the type s is better, but i myself have had no experience with either of these, im only going by what my friends have said.
