If you have the JDM tails with JDM harness you will need 7440/7443 bulbs.

also my trunk light wasn't a 194. it was some strange 1 + 1/8 inch festoon (maybe an oddity of the 99gt?).
got a 1+1/4 inch and, like everything else that hasn't quite fit, i filed it down. |

7440 for the turn signals if you have the JDM tail light harness. 1156 if you have the USDM harness.

The BA9 globes which are LED won't help, as the light is being emitted perpendicular to the globe socket. Been there, done that. And I don't think you will want HID unless you rewire your interior lights to be taken from the battery, and want to feel quite warm each time you have the light on. -------------------- www.tangcla.com - photography

also, for me as im in new zealand, it is easier to buy aftermarket lights via ...
Low beam bulbs: H1 High beam bulbs: HB3 Then you dont need a harness or convertor plug, as it is the same type of bulb as your factory. i.e I have got HID Xenon 8000k installed in both my lows and my highs, and they are the same type of bulbs of my factory, so all I had to do was plug the ballast amplifier thingy straight into my factory plug... easy as that. |

For the record, the trunk light is not a 194. It is a wierd looking bulb. I have this type of bulb in my 95.
I have one lowsy 194 LED and nowhere to use it -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

Just out of curiosity (I'm fairly new to the celica modding scene), has anybody ordered and used the Xenon 9006/9005 headlights off ebay or wherever that supposedly plug straight into your factory wiring w/o modification?
Put short: should I buy these things and get a brighter beam or no? -------------------- "He won't come out of the bathroom. He keeps telling us we're dark somethings and not his friends."
"Hmm. Ask him if he's the dragon reborn." "What?" "Just do it." ".......He said yes." "Tell him you are not darklings. He should open up." ".......Sweet. Thanks." "No problem." |

Put short: should I buy these things and get a brighter beam or no? they aren't true Xenon. They are just lookalikes. They plug straight in, however I would recommend you purchase Sylvania Silverstars. Much better quality than anything you'll get from eBay. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

Put short: should I buy these things and get a brighter beam or no? the wattage on those are also probably way too high and will melt ur harness... but i hear that HIR bulbs are pretty good.
