I think this is where the idea came from. I've seen a ton of mercedes clk430's on the road. I think mercedes copied the celica, even the headlights compare.

It close, but when you really look at it, its not at all. The tiburon does looks very similar though. |

Look at every Toyota designed in the mid-90s that sold for more than $16,000 and you'll see a rather similar shape. It's just what was popular then.
As for the Mercedes, well, they're not exactly known for radical styling. It's not surprising their large coupe would resemble another large coupe. |

It definetely has the same features as far as window shape, tails that wrap around, rear skirt that's aimed at the ground. I think it's hard to find cars that look good wingless and still make them look sporty. I haven't seen too many, the last 2 style z's look good wingless. When I was painting my car I had the rear bumper and bodykit off and I noticed it resembled some kind of a mercedes. I think doggy has the right idea but I want to maintain the original body shape so I need some kind of a side skirt that isn't radical and goes with the roundness of the car. What do you guys think? Which pics do you like? I'm thinking about that red car that I compared to the benz, with a gtfour front end with a lip, carbon fiber hatch and hood, and maybe a two-tone how doggy photochopped in the other post.
