Hi I was thinking about cutting the A/c belt to free up some power, are there any draw backs from this? Has anyone done this before? Any tips, pros cons? Thanks in advance.

Doesn't the power steering pump run on the same belt?

nope..

the altinator does tho... you would need to get a new shorter belt to make this work. i really dont think you would gain much power from it, since the ac only really robs you of power when its on and running.

Yeah, unless you actually remove the AC you're not going to gain anything. Yes its on its own independent belt, but unless the AC is on it isn't using any power. You would be better off to remove all of the AC assembly to save weight, and then remove the power steering to free up some power
