how do you fix a car runing pig rich??? car runs too rich at high rpm !!!! with tons of my black smokes coming out!! so help frown.gif frown.gif

How do your spark plugs look? Mine are coated in carbon...I need to order new ones soon because I get black clouds too. tongue.gif

i just replaced them with NGK... and i still dont notices why there is still black smoke

prolly your 02 sensor going bad. notice bad gas mileage? check engine lights?

well there is no sign of check engine light....!!! well yeah i do notices a little bad gas mileage thoug! other then that the car still runs fine..

I would check the O2 sensor

with the gt4's they run rich as hell m8 im all ways getting black smoke out the ass end when im flooring it ive checked the o2 sensor but its fine so guess im going have to put up with cleaing the rear end of the car every week cause of the black soot that she kicks out.

yea, craig, the gt-4 natrally runs rich from the factory, the N/A usdm celicas however, arnt under normal conditions wink.gif

How can you check if the O2 sensor still works. Putting a Multimeter on it?

Because i always have bad Milage. Even when driving 70 mph straight on the freeway. Always 18-20 mpg!

Hey I noticed that my JDM engine gives off a bang when I rev it really high(8K) and let go of the throttle cable. Is this common in you JDM engin confused.gif es as well?

yes. check the BGB on celicatech.com to find out how to test it

you can also use those cheap a/f gauges to tell you how your o2 sensor is working.

well i did check out the o2 sensor plus i have a/f gauge also..which everything is running fine..but the car just smokes alot at high rpm...it just makes no sense at alll!!!!!
