Romas is selling?!? I knew about the others but not Romas.
Look on the positive side though...there are so many people doing cool things and keeping their cars. I, for one, have a goal to have my car in the Global Import car show next year and I want to have the cleanest engine bay on 6GC. Oh, and I forgot to mention, some of those people may not end up selling their cars because it's so hard to sell a modded car and they probably won't get what they want and deserve for their cars. Kinda like me a while ago... -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

Really Coomer? Romas has already gone thru with it and has sold his car. Its pretty depressing, but from what I've heard, he's still coming back to the 6gc world.

Im selling mine cause i finally got it paid off and im wanting something newer.
I have always wanted to do a minitruck or a luxury car. For me, its finish one project and move to another. Ill do the same with whatever car/truck i get next. The Celica, in my eyes, is finished. I can't leave it the same for a couple years and then start something new for it. i had my fun with her and i hate to let her go, but its time to move on. ill always have a place for the celica in my heart. it was my first "show" car. i have owned it for about 4 years, which is the longest i have EVER kept a car. ill be back sometime in the future. Maybe get a lil side project going. this time with all go and no show -------------------- Jared Harwell

i was in and out pretty quick i was modding mine at the same time that john and coom were just getting started with their stuff (john had the supra wing, lowered, and header... and coom's car was still teal green with a dual exhaust), when jared's car was still its factory red with vynal and a big wing... the only 3sgte swapped celica that was an active poster was mike coury and i was giving manny engine advice that was way over his head, now sometimes i swear its the other way around haha... times have changed for the little late 90s celicas, thats for sure.

same. actually the reason why i have the celica is because it's my daily driver. but if i ever move on, there's no way i can sell the celica, it's just too precious to me, plus it's modded. -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

Those things always will happen, people are selling cars, buying cars i mean if somebody close a door by selling his car then he is opening a new door by buying a new car.
I see many owners coming to 6gc.net and this is very nice for 6gc community. I keep spending on my car and many members of 6gc.net doing this.If somebody buy my car maybe he will just need to change my name on my profile but my car will be here |

I like to think that this is a community that often trascends the cars we drive. anyone who sells their celi is still welcome here as is the new owner of the car. as for my car. its staying with me for the duration. logically I can't see any point in selling a car who's emotional worth far outweighs any monetary. its also too damn sexy to give up .. |

I don't want to sell my Celica ever. It is just something you don't see very often anymore. When these cars are properly equipped (3S, 5SFTE) they are just as fast, if not faster than a lot of the new cars out on the market. Celicas have such a defined heritage in the automotive world, and to be blessed with being able to own the most beautiful body style and to be able to converse with people who share the same passion is something you don't find often these days. We should all go out and give our Celi's a bath, because they are uncommon, and SEXY.

Its sucks but its how it goes. The celi is a cheaper nice car, where as people get older more money, they want a newer nicer toy, and its just not worth keeping two cars.
Im ready to sell my car, sheat I have been for the past year, but Dont want to get into payments so i have been sticking with it, Prolly to the point il have money for a new car and wont want a new one. haha well.. Il still want a new one, but prolly keep the celi as a daily. |

I agree about the sexiness... and since I finished up my body mods... this thing looks plain mean. After the engine work is done, it's going to be magnificent.
After I get out of college I figure I'll keep the car I have now, get a hatch, paint it and kit it exactly like what I have now, and swap in a V8 or something. I will need a new project by then after all. |
