i was looking on ebay and came across some 1157 led lights. in the ad it said they're great for tail lights, and i thought, hey, my car has 1157 bulbs in the tails, im gonna get some. well i finally got em in, and they dont fit because i didnt pay attention to the bottom part of the bulb

anyway, i was just wondering why it said they were great for tail lights, and they end up not fitting mine. Are there other tail lights with that type of bulb fittament?

Looks like 1156, which when in standard bulb form have one filament to the 1157's two filaments.

Try www.superbrightleds.com -- they've been mentioned as being pretty good.

i noticed that the USDM tails have different bulbs than the JDM ones, but in the lighting guide, it says they use the same type of bulb. The JDMs have the wedge style bulb, like the 194's or 168's, and the USDMs have the kinda like the leds i bought.

I ran into the exact same problem with my LED tail lights, the bulbs were about 1/4 inch too wide. The bulbs my dad ordered for his Sebring taillights fit in but were dimmer than incandescents and had a narrower beam. We returned ours to the site we bought them from - maybe the ebay seller will let you?
