hey can i adjust my valves?...i know honda can...i just want to know before i do anything...there's an annoying clicking sound...LMK guys...

i think the 5sfe has hydrolic lifters. You can't adjust the valve clearance like honda's.

nope your vavles stay there......the clicking, i'd suggest a full tune up, check your timing belt and timing.....and um go to a mechanic

your motor isn't bad you just need some vavle train work done or it can go bad......

like kwanza said, shim clearance.
unlike a small block chevy, you cant just adjust "valve lash" on the celica. it has a shim over bucket design, and valve clearance is adjusted with the shims. basicly you measure the clearance between the shim and camshaft, compare that mesurement to the guide in the BGB and swap out shims accordingly. not quite as easy as it sounds without a good working knowalge of it, and the right tools. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
