Pigeon Forge Tennessee Meet 2005 Options

You guys have been in on this meet since it's second year, your first year up, so I thought I would drop a line in over here to let you know that the dream did not die it just got delayed. A lot of stuff came up this summer and the meet didn't really get the reception it normally did, but we can't let it die.

This is the 4th Annual Pigeon Forge Celica meet. It is hosted this year by Celicatech.com

I am Murg, some of you know me. I moderate the SE forum over there.

This year our meet is planned for Friday November 11th, we will be meeting in the Kmart Parking lot in Sweetwater TN at Noon.

We will then drive to Tellico Plains and fuel up and eat. From there we will drive the Cherohalla Skyway to Deals Gap/The Dragon and ride that into Pigeon Forge.

Saturday will be spent getting to know one another and each other's cars as well as abusing the tourist trap that is Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg.

Sunday we will be attending the last AutoX Event of the season. The location has yet to be announced, I will update everyone as soon as it is.

We have yet to decide if we are getting a cabin or a hotel. We really need a few more ppl before the Cabin is affordable.

This will be an all Gen meet. I have also posted this at Alltrac.net and NewCelica.org. I hope to see you guys there.

Yeah, the meet normally is in the summer, the issue is this year, no one spearheaded it and the momentum died out. We talked about it for around 4 months. But nobody took charge.

About a month ago, probably longer, someone mentioned it again and I decided I didn't want it to skip a year so I took charge, set a date and planned what we would do. I understand that this year is gonna be a bit different, but hey, at least it is gonna happen.

Next year's, 2006 will be in the summer, since I am the SE mod over at CelicaTech.com I am just gonna take over the planning and so forth. This year's may have been a hastily thrown together plan, but next year's will be well thought out with lots of time to plan and get stuff together.

With that being said, I still hope some of you can make it out this year, so far we have about 10 cars coming. I hope to see more.

hey man I am comming if I get my car out of the shop by then. I live like 5 minutes away from Pigeon Forge so I am there.

Guess I might be able to get over there.... maybe even w/ two different celica's - just depends on the dates. What were they again?... i skipped out on last year's meet cuz i didnt feel like gettin up early... lol. Btw, is john in on this yet
