Hey guys and gals...i know this is a stupid question...but do all o' you know anyway of getting a good, cheap turbo for my car? - - - or anyway to give me a little more umph? - - - i'm not really interested going really, really fast...but more the torque, and acceleration i'm that kinda guy:)....the current plans i have are to install a greddy exusht and injen intake - - - but that total w/install will come to a hair under 1k - - - i have to think there is someway of getting more umph for around, or less than that price?...anyway look forward to hearing back! out-

your not getting turboed for under 2300$ and even that is pushing it and unsafe. unless you have the pocket for it just write it off because you wont be able to have what you want and a car thats going to start up everytime when u turn that key.

there is NO such thing as a "cheap" turbo kit..unless you just wanna blow your engine.
and injen does not make a CAI for the celica, just a short ram. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

no way is that actualyl going to help horsepower theres hardly any air flow to it and its an electric fan so its also going to put a draw on your alt. if it added even 10hp to the wheels that would be one thing but it does absolutely NOTHING. i think this has been covered before and one of those tech tv shows dynoed cars with electrc blowers and that tornado fuel saver thing.

hahaha, i figured it was a fluke....anyway, do you (or anyone eles) have anyway suggestions on what i could do for more umph? I was told by a local customs shop that the greddy exhaust and injen air intake would boost me about 20 hp...does that sound right?...anyway, i'm open to ideas...just let me know if there's anything out there that would give me more umph...for under 1k...

a custom header, high flow cat, greddy exhaust, and injen intake may get you about 18whp... but the increased response makes it feel like alot more. trust me those ponies make the difference if you raced a bone stock celi youd have it by atleast half a car length

3S-GTE=GT-4,MR-2T, Altrac engine. Unless you have about 20K sitting around and a damn good shop I would emphasize you NOT try a full AWD swap. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money
