I know that TMW and TRD have short shifters for our cars. But which is better and all that good jazz? Leave your opinion cause i'm lookin into buyin a short shifter this friday and need some options. I found a TRD short shifter for $160 and don't know if that's a good or bad price. Help me out peeps!

I really like my TRD QuickShifter, and I know that it's different from the TWM shifter because it replaces the entire assembly rather than just being the lever.

just think of TRD as the ONLY way to go. do not get the TWM. 160 for the TRD is a nice price, it retails for almost 190 bucks. I got mine on sale from Burien Toyota for 135 shipped w/ the TRD knob and everything...buuuuuuuut, i got the last one. wink.gif

are you guys talking from experience? as in you've used both shifters and have a preference for one or the other? or are you basing your recommendations on what you own?

I recall someone on celica.net had tried both the TRD and TWM and said they liked the TWM better because the throw was shorter and the shiftknob sat lower. Could be a fluke tho, who knows.

I haven't tried both, but I have heard good things about both of them.

Well i'm gonna go TRD since it's overpriced and blah blah blah....

Now where can i buy the entire shifter set? I found 1 site that had it, but it was only sellin the rod and not the entire assembly? Multiple sites with direct links to the item is much appreciated so i can get the cheapest one.
