So I am intrested in selling my car because I cant stand hitting my head on it all of the time. I am 6'5" and was wondering if anyone knew any cars similar to the celica with better headroom. I looked at a 98 Eclipse.. and while it was quite a bit better - it still wasnt enough. I still want something that looks sporty... gets good gas milage.. and isnt too expensive.
What would you all recommend? Thanks, Todd -------------------- |

6'5", ummm good luck finding a small car to fit in im about 6'1" and its even a pain for me to get in sometimes. look up msnauto.com, if i remember right they have interior stats like that to look up.

I dunno for the size, the celi has prolly the best head room, compared to most cars iv been in, but Im only like 6'1". My guess is your gunna hve to get like a more sedan type car, like civic style.. or maybe umm matrix or somthing. Try maybe a TC. looks to have a good amoutn of room.

TC is too much... cant spend more than like $7,000. Same with the RSX. The Eclipse was much better in terms of headroom - but I still dont think its enough. I would go for a SC400... but they only come in Automatic Transmissions.
Does anyone know if the 7gen seats would sit lower than the 6gens? I still need to be able to adjust the seat back and forth (my g/f that drives it as well is 5'1") but want new seats anyway. Thanks, Todd -------------------- |

the 7gc seat is taller than the 6gc seats. theres less roof clearance. the part u actually sit on is the same height. eddie is a pretty tall dood and he had to lower his 7gc seats to give hime more clearance.

Yeah but the convertible is a chick car even more than a straight ST celi. Anyone gone about having their 6gen seats lowered? How much?
Thanks. -------------------- |

perhaps you should just switch over to a truck. Its not sproty in any sense, but heck if you race with your terms you would win against any car.
(win you race with a truck against car, make sure that they go with your terms) 1.) They must drag race 2.) They must be towing another car and you will tow another truck of equal weight! 3.) The race is also part of a hill climb. Im just stupid, ((yes u are))) |

A truck isnt feasable because of gas mileage. My old bronco got .... 7... so going from my celica getting 29 around town to... 7 isnt going to be fun.

You'll have lots of head room with an eclipse...while standing on the side of the road waiting for the tow truck. The reliability is crap. Keep in mind on the 6th gens the Coupe has a slightly higher roof. Coulld also swap out to race seats. I am over 6" and with the seat all the way down I clear the roof by like maybe 2" in my liftback so I do feel your pain a bit.
