lanparties, anyone go to em? Options

me and my friends every other weekend or so gather to have a lan party in one of my friends garage. We usually play bf2 a lot, we're all obsessed w/ it. Anyone else go to lan parties?

Umm not much. but every winter, me an my buddies become bums for a week.. bring computers over my house and play games.. but lot of times turns into just hanging around drinking and playing until 8 am.. but only like once a year.

We have one every Thursday. Xbox we play Halo 2 and Ghost Recon 2, then we LAN the computers and play Rise of Nations and Warcraft 3 and Starcraft.

i was never good at playing video games, but i do enjoy lan parties.
its nice to be able to co-op with your friends.

I would go to one if I knew enough people into that kinda thing. There actualy was a big one in on of the confrance rooms at work where a buch of people brought there kids in and pladed, I only got to watch for min because it was pretty much over when I started work, although there is a lan party every few days at work already I just dont have the time durring my shift to join nor do I have the game on my computer there because I'm not an admin

I can be quite the nird from time to time but a lan party really is not a nerdy thing, its a way to get together with friends and have a good time shooting and killing each other for braggin rights a nird party would be to invite your firends over to debate the qualities of a duel core proc, over a single and to watch star trec.

i use to in high school, 12 - 15 people generally. the first one we had was a this kids house, and nobody liked him, but we were gonna use his house anyway. well we had these 2 kids dressed in ninja outfits ring the doorbell at like 10pm and when he opened, threw a blanket over him, threw him in the trunk of their car, and drove 3 miles down the road and threw him out. he had to walk back in the rain. it was so hilariou seeing two kids dressed as ninjas kidnap someone hahah.....

you'll never believe it but i used to lan a lot!!! my favorite was always cs though.. now it's old and no one plays it

The only games my friends play is starcraft and honestly that game is so old, graphics suck, gameplay is terrible, and keyboard layout is horrible. I don't see y so many people like it so much. Warcraft has the same issues since its based off of the same developers. Command and conquer is way better, but nobody knows how to even play it cause it's got harder complex controls and awesome graphics.

My clan has one every year, 200 mile road trip for me to get there, 40 people in a hall then the drinking commences, after 10 hours or so we play Q3 or CS for a laugh, then goto the pub then back for more gaming and kebabs.

I love starcraft, that game never gets old. My friends and I LAN about once a month and play starcraft and the original quake, sometimes cs and day of defeat

used 2...grade 9 went to a 24 hour straight one. I slept for 2 days straight after it and had a seriously bad monitor tan. Used to be hardcore into cs b4 i got my drivers lisence.
