Well, I mocked up the engine to see what I needed and what I could send out to the machine shop. I have a couple of teaser pics of the mock up. Hopefully I'll have some time later tonight to give out the real information about how the project is going, but for now...
is that a celica coupe euro tail light or a shameless plug for a product i might be selling? maybe both? |

Looks cool. I look forward to watching your progress. I may still be interested in some traditional (but amber-less) tails from you. I am going to try the red film mod first. I will let you know.

Ok, here is the quick run down. As it sits It will have been re-built and will be running 82mm pistons at a compression of roughly 11.5:1. The head work i am doing, for the most part, myself. My background in science kinda gives me an edge as far as being able to look at something and tell how to generate more flow.
The header is from a silvertop 4ag, and it will be port matched and powdercoated. The ITB's are 44mm inside diameter and 58mm outside.. so the flow shoudl be very quick. they aren't quite matched up yet though, but I'll figure that out as I go. The fuel system set up isn't in stone yet, but I do have the vaccume almost figured out. if anyone has the fuel and vaccume diagrams I would be curious. I also still need the water fitting and the thermo housing for a 4ag... all that is pictured is all I have... ahem, kwanza. Like I say, this project is still Way up in the air until I get the bottom end assembled. Then it will all come together nicely. all input is welcome. Jon |

at this point I just don't know. the 2zz rods I have are just a bit too long (2-3mm I'd guess) but it could be possible to change the stroke of the engine. to fix this. I'm going to have my machine shop check it out, right now I am funds limited though.
