If I had the resources available to me, I'd DEFINATLEY work that kind of power into a RWD or at least AWD car.. It's just stupid and pointless to put it in a FWD if you ask me

there are many things that we have come to know and accept. Most rational people will tell you that putting that much hp in a FWD car is pointless, period. It's called physics. Sure innovation is great, but it has to be smart, it has to be useful. Why do you think that you never see a mid-engined fwd car? Because companies aren't stupid enough to waste money on such a fruitless endeavor. I agree that new things are good, but some things are just plain stupid. 600hp + FWD is pointless. Why not put 2000hp in a FWD car? It's all useless once you get above a specific hp rating anyway. Don't try and defend this guy by saying he's innovative, he just has a lot of money and dosen't know where to invest it. Innovation is a wonderful thing, when it's useful. Henry Ford and the assembly line, useful. Audi and AWD rally cars, useful. Antilock brakes, useful, too much HP for the wheels that do the steering braking and acceleration to handle, moronic. I think its ugly. I'd never drive a delsol in my life. They are weird looking. And he almost hit a dog. Thats another thing. And plus how do you know he spent all his own money on that car. He prob had his parents pay for everything. And Forkee is right don't just jump onto a street and go racing around. Also sounds like he doesn't know how to drive it. Kept burning the clutch on the starts.

Also the gear ratio's suck A$$ really bad.

Im not saying that you dont its just that I didnt buy my celica because I was settling for it, I was looking for a 6th gen, and I love that none of my friends own a celica, better yet that theres only 3 celicas including mine that Ive seen here in my city, in the past year.
Im a fan of alot of cars but I wouldnt mind working for that kind of money to put into my car. 600whp on a celi is rare, sooooo I would surely give props to that guy for pulling it off.......he oviously wanted it bad enough to put all that in his car.

lol, this Honda hating is getting retarded. Seriously guys, you all are just like the American car guys. Close minded. As far as it being a FWD, it's a class racer. People dump tons of money in all the different classes of racing. If the guy wants to make a 600hp FWD, that's fine. It's not really going to effect 1/4 times that much. Drag racers will tell you that a RWD hooks up better than a FWD or an AWD at the track, and can get better times. But really, it's not too far off. This guy probably tears it up at the local track in the FWD class, probably locally the RWD and V8 classes too. And when it comes down to it, that's all that matters.

oh I'm not saying I wouldn't give him props, it takes a lot of work to get to that point. And I LOVE my Celica, looked for over 3 years before I found mine lol. I guess I was just tryin to say that in my opinion that kind of time and effort could have been better applied elsewhere. I guess I'm biased because I hate drag racing to all ends and think it's the only kind of racing that is more boring than NASCAR. 600whp on any FWD is pretty pointless, but to me a good car should be one that is good on the road course and on the legal road.

But when I start a project car, sad to say the Celi will probably go to make garage space
