Today when i got off of work i decided to go ahead and get 6gc.net sticker made. Well i swung by my house to pick up my cousin and i headed on my way. About half way to the shop i started to hit a little bit of traffic on normandie just passed Jefferson. Well i was talking to my cousin about the sticker and the colors i wanted to get, when the cars ahead of me started to brake, kinda quickly, but not all of a sudden though. I hit my brakes and as i looked up in my rear view mirror i notice a white VW still coming at me, i let the brake go a little so that hopefully i can give him enuff room to stop. But it was still too late! The stupid VW SLAMMED on the brakes swurved and hit me on my back right side. 1st thing i thought was F#$K (of course), next was my muffler, last was $h*t I might hit this old civic in front of me. Luckly i barely tapped him and he waved me off. So i pulled over and i see the A$$H*LE VW busting a U-turn running away. I asked my cousin to get off the car and ask if anyone saw anything? Then i took off! I went around the block, drove down the street PISSED OFF.

I looked through about a 1/2 -3/4 of a mile worth of blocks and couldnt find the son of a b*t*ch. I finally decided to turn into a street and head back for my cousin. GUESS WHAT GUYS???? There he was heading in the opposite direction. Little punk took off again, when i finally turned around he had about 8-10 car lengths in front of me but only 2 cars between us. When i got around the last car he disappeared AGAIN!!!! I was frustrated as hell now! I just made one last right and if he wasnt there i was just going to leave.

THIRD time is a charm biggrin.gif there he was in a small parking lot. I blocked him off and i started to go off on him! He was apologizing like a the little b*t*h that he is and said that he was gunna pay for all the repairs (I honestly hadn't even looked at my bumper yet). When all of a sudden to his misfortune a COP pulled up. WE werent going to say anything but it slipped out and i told him about the hit and run. They put the kid in handcuff and put him in the cop car. A bunch of B.S. took place the report and all. And i just left while they kept him in custody.

Well fortunately, my bumper was not dented, mostly some chipped paint. So that STUPID VW was just running away from about a $200 or less paint job. He claims that he had enough things on his record. But instead he decides to run, which made problems even worse. So i am going to call his mommy tongue.gif today and talk to her, lets see what she says.

You guys better believe he or his mom is going to pay for it too. If not, he sure will regret ever getting a license. And can't i get his friend, the passenger, for something also? The kid decided to go drop him off when he was running away.

But i hope my insurance doesn't go up b/c of this. frown.gif frown.gif

man, had something like that happen to me, though the stupid thing was i got out of my car to see what damage he did and the guy took off, i shouldve followed him, like you did.

Eer more likely i shouldve had a gun in my car to shoot out his tires so he couldnt take off.

If you can avoid it, don't tell the insurance company. That California Good Driver's Discount is worth like $600 every 6 months. It takes 3 years for an accident to go off your record. I'm about to get my only one off this june, and my insurance will drop from $930 every 6 months, to like $370 every 6 months biggrin.gif

thats one of the best stories ever

thats why i want a fast car because then you have an easier chance of catching people that do that..

like someone else said i usually dont like to get the cops involved but in this case its good because just imagine if it was some old lady who he hit or something like that...

Well i have some good news and some bad news...

The bad news is that i went to 3 different paint and body shops today. Unfortunately the 1st shop broke my heart.. frown.gif he told me it looks like my car had been in some kind of accident before. He could tell because of the way the paint didnt hold to the body. Which would explain a couple of little things here and there. HE said it will be about $500+ to get fixed. Well the other shop told me $380+. The last shop actually pointed out the things that didnt make sense on my car. Like the trunk doesnt line up directly w/ the back side fenders. One side is a little bit higher than the other. Also how there is a difference in the gaps on each end of the trunk. He also told me that more than likely the frame was a little damaged, or something like that. frown.gif frown.gif frown.gif His estimate was close to $700

Well after reading that you might be wondering how is there good news??? Well the good news is that I'm gunna make that little PUNK pay for it all. Or have him give me like $600 and i get all the parts at like 1/2 off through my friend wink.gif . Then have cousin and his friends fix it. And ill just leave it primered and then just paint the entire car after my swap and new hood. tongue.gif biggrin.gif tongue.gif biggrin.gif

On insurance, I think you're safe. If the police report says you ain't at fault, then it won't raise your insurance at all, so if they guy welches, then just go to insurance with the police report.
