Well, I sold my '96 and got a '99. I needed money pretty bad, but didn't wanna lose the sexyness of a 6gc.
My new red celi is an auto and has sunroof, leather interior, 54k miles, wheels, exhaust, etc. Shes not nearly as sexy as my old 96, but my plans are: ditch the spoiler, rear body piece, customize the front bumper (don't wanna go ground kit because the CA roads are hell), 1" lower (again...CA roads), shave door handles/rear washer/antenna, Mold bodykit pieces, paint Red/Silver/Gray, projectors....and years down the road, when I get more money....3SGTE w/ Tranny conversion (of course). I'm definitely gonna miss all the head turns with my silver beauty, but I did what I had to do. Glad to still have something thats kind to the eyes, and glad to still participate in this community. I told the new owner of my car about this site, but not sure if he'll make his way over here. Anywho...yeah.... -------------------- |

That's an odd financial decision you made there, especialy considering how sexy your old celica was... more debt, less sexy car?... why not just refinance your other celica or take out a signature loan?

As I said, it began to get pretty nerve racking driving that thing in So Cal. The more I think about it, the more I'm glad I did it. -------------------- |

I don't remember many bad roads in socal when I lived there a couple years back.
But congrats on the new purchase. Looks like a lot of potential, and you have like zero miles on her too. Look forward to the mods. -------------------- |

Looks like a lot of potential, and you have like zero miles on her too. Look forward to the mods. A lot of pot holes in the freeways (I-5 and I-10, my regulars). Even with a perfect angle, most driveways will grab the body kit. Have to slow down to 25-30mph to go over railroad crossings. etc, etc. I babied her to the last day...and can't imagine what would have happened if I was an agressive/careless driver. I guess you weren't TOO bad with her...at least you knew what you were doing. I'm just very sensitive when it comes to my babby Can ya blame me? -------------------- |
