Hey all,
Just wanted to share some experiences lately. Now that my car has the full GT-4 WRC look with the 19inch wheels...the attention this car get is bordering on scary I mean i have people literally following me around and approching me when I park. Today, I was on the way home...two car pulled up next to me...a prelude..RX7. The first guy gave me thumbs up while the others just gawked....I said thanks and continued on my way. They followed and followed and I turned into my destination (no I wasn't going home or I would have just drove by my house). They turn behind me and pulled up right behind me. I was like great.."hhmmm should I hit the biggest guy first and then move on to the smaller guys" They got out so did I. They just looked at the car like they never saw anything like it...followed by a million questions. It was a peaceful ending...but interesting none the less. Funny part is that this is not the first time ive been followed around...and getting all the double takes. Ususally, they just break their necks to get a closer look and follow me around for a while. This week, I had my car parked at work...are car load of guys spotted my car...backed up...made a beeline to it...literally jumped out and walked around the car for about 10mins. I was in my office watching the whole thing. I don't mind the attention...it usually harmless...but this is bordering on the ridiculous. Im getting a little paraniod because I am sure some people have other intentions than just looking. I am glad I live in a gated community...but the some of the locals (kids, teenagers, and HONDUH owners) are also looking real hard. These are just examples...but just mutiply everything I just said x 50 and youll see why this is so weird. I really didn't think it would be like this. I guess its different from what everyone is used too...especially here in the US. Oh well, what to do... This post has been edited by GT-4: May 16, 2003 - 10:19 PM |

Thats awesome....but I have to ask, don't you ever feel bad that you don't have power backing it?
I get people asking me about my car as well...but then it brings me down when I have to tell them its slow =/ |

well..no, because that wasn't my intention with this car. Its just to have a nice looking daily driver. I have the means and the ways to drop a 3sgte in the car with little or no effort...one of my best friends is the Owner of Toyomoto in Fl...one of the best Toyota tuners in the US. Oh, by the way as a favor he built and drives the HP racing civic...yes a Hon-duh...this car currently hold the world record for the fastest unibody "hotrod class" at 8.59 in the 1/4 mile. Its ironic that it takes a toyota tuner to build a fast Honda
But if I feels like going fast...I have my 500+ hp alltrac sitting in the garage. So I have the best of both worlds. But if the feeling hits me I might drop a 3sgte in here...guess there nothing wrong with 2 money pits... |

That's cool, I already knew you had other fast cars though.
