I had the idea while driving on a Tulsa freeway a couple months ago when I rolled up on a Continental GT. I saw one again today in a commercial for Unique Whips which reminded me of the idea.
I think I'm going to install a third brake light mounted across the top of the hatch window, but I think I'll put mine on the inside of the glass. I'll mount it directly to the upper portion of the plastic hatch cover. Here's a pic of the third brake light on the Continental GT: Opinions? -------------------- Project ST204.5 99.88946% complete... |

Thats how my 1992 Passat's rear brake light was, I personaly hate the 3rd brake light and legally speaking you only have too have 2, so mine will be shaved once I get some time todo the body work. With doing it with LEDs (if you choose) they would be pretty bright and even tho its legal you might get pulled over.

If u take your time, and do it right (make it look factory) it could be a neat little mod.

Yeah, I'm going to do it. It might be a little while though as I already have too many irons in the fire LOL.
